Did you know Mordy's colorblind? We can assume his goggles correct that, which must be why he wears them all the time. Have you ever done an allegiance run in BL1 as Mordy? I think Hyperion might be his overall best brand, but S&S would be fun too. Of all the BL1 Vault Hunters, Mordy can get the most abounding satisfaction out of Jakobs and Tediore. They're not his best brands, but he can do more with them than the others. Torgue shields, especially the Muscleman (if I recall), especially benefit Mordy-go-nuts, somewhat making up for his "glass cannon" tendencies.
For team allegiance, Maliwan Mordy would present a lot of interesting options. Maliwan's usually thought of as the Siren's choice, but Maliwan Mordy for a team allegiance run would mean access to a class mod that regens health for the whole team (Survivor), as well as two of the best and most common Legendaries (Defiler and Volcano) which both happen to be Mordy-style weapons. If the Lil player chooses Hyperion as their allegiance, they can use Tormentor. The combo of these two alone would mean huge advantages, especially if the Roland player chooses S&S or Vladof (for the Support Gunner class mod). And of course, Torgue is the best brand for Brick (whether solo or team allegiance), but Vladof is also a good choice if the Roland player chooses S&S.
